Brooklyn Navy Yard's new wave

Talk about trendy. After 154 years, the 300-acre Brooklyn Navy Yard is about to ride the New York economy’s wave of the moment: tourism. On Thursday, the city-owned facility that sprawls along the East River between Vinegar Hill and Williamsburg will open a $25 million visitors’ center and museum, according to The New York Times.
